We use full grain vegetable tanned leather from Conceria Walpier Tannery in Tuscany Italy to craft 90% of our products. Conceria Walpier Tannery is registered with the Vera Pelle Association; they specialize in the production of vegetable tanned leather for over 40 years, using century tanning techniques. We aim for sustainable manufacturing, aside from its desirable physical properties, we use vegetable tanned leather because it will naturally biodegrade and be less harmful to the environment. 

Animals skin has scratch marks, bite marks, hair, pores / hair follicles, this is not a defect, and it only shows the leather authenticity and how minimal buffing has been done on this surface. 

Each cut of leather is made by hand, original and distinct from the next, slight variations such as character, subtle color shifts, and/or thickness may apply. We’ll never use a cut that may affect the quality and longevity of our products.

Our dedication to excellence extends beyond our choice of premium leather to the hardware we incorporate into our handcrafted products. Every detail matters, including the buckles, zippers, rivets, and clasps that enhance our items’ functionality and contribute to their aesthetic appeal and durability.

We prioritize hardware made from top-grade materials such as solid brass, stainless steel, nickel, and metal. We purchase this hardware from industry-known suppliers in Asia, Europe, and South America, and we ensure that our hardware components are not only durable but also meet our stringent quality standards.

We practice traditional saddle stitching. The thread we use is crucial in enhancing the quality of our product, durability, strength, and aesthetic appeal. We exclusively use Meisi threads, renowned for their exceptional quality and durability. We ensure that our leather goods are visually appealing, resilient, and long-lasting.

Meisi threads are recognized in the leatherworking industry for their superior quality. They are made from high-grade materials and produced by Shenzhen Minglang Textile Technology Company, which specializes in producing all kinds of high-end threads for well-known luxury brands.

Our craftsman, the heart and soul of Aluyâ Leather Goods, brings years of experience and a deep understanding of leatherworking to every project.
